"Wonder Witch"   The four library monitors, working back after school while the staff meeting is in progress, discover an ancient Book of Spells. With more bravado than brainwork, the two boys use it to open the library teacher’s private cupboard — and discover a witch’s cape and broomstick, and a mysterious, shimmering veil that leads to a series of adventures, including Dr Franken[male teacher’s surname]'s horrific School, where one of the boys is transformed into a mindlessly obedient pupil. They are rescued in the nick of time by Wonder Witch, who bears a striking resemblance to the librarian. They must then find a way to bring their friend back to his normal self before the staff meeting finishes. This leads to even more adventures — and misadventures — with a surprise ending.
